Eat More Plants: Nutrition Support for Your MTB Adventures

Is this for you?

If you’re spending hours in the saddle, you’ll know how much food can make or break your ride. The right fuel keeps you steady, focused, and strong – while poor nutrition leads to flagging energy, sore legs, and a long trudge back to the car park.

I’m Phe, a qualified sports nutritionist and long-time plant-based mountain biker. I work with people who want to feel better, ride stronger, and recover faster by changing what’s on their plate – without the gimmicks, powders, or rabbit food clichés.

Whether you’re training for a big event or just want to make it through a 50-mile forest loop without hitting the wall, I can help you figure out what to eat before, during, and after your rides. We’ll also look at day-to-day meals so you’re not just fuelling the ride, but recovering properly too.

Real food, real fuel

I take a whole food, plant-based approach that focuses on proper energy, hydration, and recovery – all tailored to you and your riding style. That might mean:

  • Easy tweaks to your daily meals to improve stamina and energy
  • Ride snacks that don’t upset your stomach or weigh you down
  • Recovery meals that actually help your legs feel fresher the next day
  • Fuelling strategies for long or back-to-back ride days
  • Support for bloating, fatigue, or other issues that might be holding you back

I’m not an elite athlete or ex-racer – I just wanted to know how to fuel us properly for long days out on the bikes. That’s what led me to study sports nutrition. Now I help other riders do the same – finding simple, realistic ways to eat that actually support your energy, recovery, and enjoyment on the trail.
